From September - October 2019, Ms. Afrika Abney disseminated numerous flyers that announced the contest at a wide variety of venues in Washington, DC in person and it was hosted by Esther Productions, Inc.
Some of them include All Souls Unitarian Church, Shaw Library, Lee's Flower Shop, Emery Recreation Center, Potter's House, Columbia Heights Center, Chevy Chase Community Center, Nineteenth Street Baptist Church, Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church, Fort Stevens Senior Center, Shepherd Library, Petworth Library, Mt. Pleasant Library, LAMB PCS on Aspen, LAMB PCS on Military Road, Brightwood Education Campus, Center City PCS -- Brightwood Campus, So Your Moms, Ackerman Cleaners, and other venues located in Washington, D.C..

From September 2019 - October 2019; and December 2019, Ms. Afrika Abney provided consulting services for the Discover Me..Without You Annual Personal Essay Contest which took place from September 2019 - November 1, 2019 and winners were announced on December 14, 2019. It was designed for teen girls 14-17 and to aid in the healing of fatherless girls by using the personal essay to help them discover their personal strengths and resilience. It was hosted by Esther Productions, Inc. Information about the contest was sent to schools, churches, community organizations and other businesses via email and posted on social media.
Additionally, Ms. Abney disseminated over 30 flyers at a wide variety of venues from September 2019 - October 2019 and disseminated press releases that announced the contest to news reporters and radio broadcasters. Other duties furnished upon request.

CONTEST RULES:
Essays must have a cover page with the author’s name, age, home address, email address and name of school.
Essays must also have a title of the essay on all pages; the author's name may not appear on any page other than the cover page.
Essays must be original and use proper citation(s); they cannot contain the words of another person without giving that individual credit within the text of the essay.
Essays must be between 750 words and 1500 words;
Essays must be written in English--the writer should indicate at submission if English is not her native language.
Essays must be typed with 12- point font, doubled spaced, printed only on one side of the paper; essays may be submitted electronically either as a doc. or pdf file
